Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) is the organisation located in chhattisgarh formed for the recruitment of various posts across the state. With the breakup of the state known as The Heart Of India ,Madhya Pradesh ,was born Chhattisgarh in the year 2000. However the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission was formed under the Article 315 of the Constitution of India. The functions include–to appoint candidates on various posts across the state and to advice government on various recruitment issues.

The posts offered through this examination are- Deputy District Magistrate, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Accounts Officer ,District Registrar ,Asst Director (Food Officer) ,Assistant Director,District Excise officer,Assistant Director (Social Welfare Dept) ,Assistant Project Officer ,Finance & Planning department,Child Development Project Officer,Assistant Superintendent ,Naib/Nayab Tehsildar ,Excise Sub Inspector ,Commercial Tax Inspector : Sub Registrar,Cooperative Inspector,Assistant jail Superintendent.:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION
The candidates must possess a graduate degree or maybe a higher one from a recognised university .
The minimum age limit should be 21 years wheras maximum should be 28 years.
A person who has already given an exam passing which would qualify him for commission exam is also eligible to apply.
Candidates who possess technical qualification recognised by state are also eligible to sit for exams.
The exam is divided in three parts-
Prelims, Mains and Interview.
EXAM SYLLABUS FOR MAINS
PAPER I- LANGUAGE , this subject would cover general hindi, general english,general sanskrit.:-comprehension,synonyms,antonyms, correction of sentences, vocabulary, tenses,prepositions, active and passive voice, parts of speech,transitions, Chhattisgarhi language questions.
PAPER III--History, Constitution and Public Administration :- This would include topics like
History of India, Indian national Movement, Constitution of India, history of Chhattisgarh and Chhattisgarh national movement, public administration.
PAPER IV- Science ,technology & environment will have topics as,physics, biology, chemistry,environment,technology .
PAPER V- Economics & Geography includes topics like planning in india, geography and economics of chhattisgarh, forest,natural resource, agriculture and industry of Chhattisgarh,Indian economics.
PAPER VI- For Mathematics & Reasoning Ability topics include computer,data analysis, logical reasoning, rational numbers, coordinate geometry.
PAPER VII– Philosophy and Sociology includes tribes of the state, art & culture, sociology ,indian philosphy and yoga.
