Recruitment Procedure:

The recruitment procedure of the IPS is through the civil service examination conducted by the Union Public Commission. There three stages of the exam first one is preliminary exam then Main exam after that interview but these three stages are very tough.

Through appointment of State Police Service officers by promotion and also through Limited Competitive Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission also they are recruiting the Indian Police Service Officers.

Training:

The Training procedure for the IPS is also tough they join the  Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie for the foundation training and after the foundation training they move to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad for the further training and and after completion of the training’s they get confirmation in Indian Police Service as an officer . There are also lots of training for them during his career as an officer in the Indian Police Service.

Indian foreign Services

Objectives of IPS officer:

1. They are responsible for the peace in public areas,crime prevention, Drug smuggling, Traffic control and also fotr the VIP Security and also many more responsibilities.

2.The IPS Officers are leading and commanding the Indian Intelligence Agencies like Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI), Criminal Investigation Department (CID) etc.

3.They Serves as head of the departments in policy making in the Ministries and Departments of Central and State Governments and public sector undertakings both at center and states.

4.They Also works as the coordinators between all other India Forces and Indian Armed force and Indian Army.

5. They leads the police force with courage, full dedication and strong sense of service to serve the people and the peace in his district, state and in his country.

6. The IPS officers also leading and commanding central police forces Like BSF,CRPF,ITBP.CPF,CISF,CAPF,NSG.
