The AFMC Entrance Exam is conducted by Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, India for taking admission to the MBBS program offered at AFMC Medical College.  This institute is affiliated by Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nasik. The college provides training to UG and PG medical students with assured future prospects in the defense services.

Eligibility:

• Applying candidates must have 60% marks or above in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English in their 10+2 or equivalent .
• Those who are appearing in the current year of 10+2 examination before May 2nd are also eligible to apply.
• The age limit of the candidate must be in between is 17 years to 25 years.

Time Duration: 2 hours

Correct attempt: 1 mark

Incorrect attempt: For each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

AFMC Biology syllabus includes following unit :

Diversity in Living World, Cell : The Unit of Life ; Structure and Function, Genetics and Evolution,  Structure and Function – Animals, Structure and Function – Plants, Reproduction, Growth and Movement in Plants, Reproduction and Development in Humans, Ecology and Environment, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and its Applications.

II. Syllabus for Chemistry

AFMC Chemistry syllabus includes following unit :

Some basic concepts in Chemistry, States of matter, Atomic structure, Classification of elements and periodicity in properties, 5 Chemical energetics, Chemical bonding, Equilibrium, Redox reactions, Solid state Chemistry, Chemical thermodynamics, Solutions, Chemical kinetics, Electrochemistry, Surface chemistry, Hydrogen, S-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline Earth metals), General principles and processes of isolation of elements, p-Block Elements, The d-and f-Block elements, Coordination compounds, Some basic principles of Organic Chemistry, Hydrocarbons, Purification and characterization of carbon compounds, Organic compounds with functional groups containing halogens (X), Organic compounds with functional groups containing oxygen, Organic Compounds with functional group containing nitrogen, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry, Biomolecules, Chemistry in everyday life.

III. Syllabus for Physics

AIPMT Physics syllabus includes following unit :

This measures your ability to read and comprehend written material in English language. This section tests your recognition of correct grammatical usage, vocabulary, and familiarities with words. It includes:

• Reading comprehension
• Sentence Correction
• Word meaning – antonyms, synonyms, analogies – your ability to recognize relationships among words and concepts, parallel relationships, etc.
• Sentence completions – your ability to recognize words or phrases that both logically and stylistically complete the meaning of a sentence

b. Intelligence , Logic and Reasoning

This section consists of Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Decision Making questions. The topic included in this section are:
