PSL LIMITED
The PSL limited is the largest manufacturer of high-grade large diameter helical submerged arc welded pipes in India. The PSL limited was incorporated on 24th august of the year 1987 as a private limited company. PSL manufacturers is certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API) standards for oil, gas, and water transmission for both onshore and offshore sector. There are 12 pipe mills are commissioned at coast-based locations in kandla, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, ahmedabad, jaipur and sharjah. The total annual manufacturing capacity of all the plants is about 1,175,000MT.
The other business segments of PSL are,
(i) Pipe coating
(ii) Induction pipe binding
(iii) Pipe bending
(iv) Sacrificial anode manufacturing
(v) Rebar coating
(vi) Modular furniture and
(vii) Structural building fabrication
The company started its commercial operations for pipe coating plants in 1988 and fusion bonded epoxy coating in 1989. In the year 1990, the company commissioned a plant for manufacturing the epoxy powder with Lilly powder coating inc (U.S.A). In the year 1992, a plant of galvalum sacrificial anodes fore cathodic protection was commissioned in cooperation with UPC (U.K) at kandla. In 1993with UPC the company has established first internal pipe coating facility in India at its damn yard. On 1st July of the year 1994, the company had became a deemed public limited company. The company has established internal pipe coating in Chennai at Tamilnadu during the year1996, and CTE pipe coating in nani chirai at Gujarat in 1999 and an internal coating plant in Vizag during the year 2001.
