THE PUNJAB PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (PPSC )RESURGED in February , 1948. Dear PPSC Exam Aspirants In this article I will share with you  some very useful information about Punjab PSC . PSCP or  Public Service Commission of Punjab is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of state of Punjab.

The Head Office of the Punjab  PSC is located at the Patiala, Punjab.

Work  and functions of  Punjab PSC :-

One of the primary functions of the Commission is to select the best suitable candidates for various Government Posts in Punjab State  India.

The main function of the Punjab State Public Service Commission PPSC to conduct written competitive examination and also the interviews for the selections of the candidates for any government posts in the state of  Punjab.

How To prepare Punjab PSC EXAM –

Examinations. The Punjab Public Service Commission Board will conduct the Following rounds  …

  • Preliminary Exam (Objective Type).
  • Mains Exam (Descriptive Type).
  • Personal Interview.

Preliminary part  have total 6 portion  General awareness , Punjab Gk , general science, mathematics,reasoning and Computer knowledge .First you want to know about your state in detail  like schemes, new rule , and some static and facts.

When we talk about mathematics, I will say in just one quote ” Practice is Maths , Maths is practice “. To learn math, you need practice with some good books.

Coding and decoding, blood relation, syllogism etc these  are the some  most important chapters in the Reasoning section from exam point of view. These have appeared time and again. You must be very comfortable with these questions as these questions hold the best chance of you clearing the exam.

Punjab PSC  EXAM Eligibility Criteria:- 

Nationality:  
A candidate shall be a:
i. Citizen of India; or
ii. Citizen of Nepal; or
iii. Subject of Bhutan;
Age Limit
The candidate should have attained the age of 21 years but should not be older than 37 years.
Post of Deputy Superintendent Police in the Punjab Police Service is age limit is 21-28.The Relaxation for SC and ST period is for five years. For OBC 3 years.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should possess Graduate degree with at least 55% of the marks in any field from any of the University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State
The candidate should have basic knowledge of Computer Application.

  • Group-I

  • Deputy Collector
  • Commercial Tax Officer
  • Deputy Superintendent of Police Category-2 ETC.
