Indian Railways is the one of the world’s largest railway networks and is the state owned enterprise which  is governed by the Ministry of Railways of Government of India. Recruitment in Indian Railways is done on the various Indian railways vacancies which are required to be filled. The Indian Railways recruitment is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.

Career in Indian Railways-

The minimum eligibility criteria for the Indian Railways recruitment for the candidate is that the candidates should have got minimum 60% aggregate over all eight semester.

Qualification criteria of Indian railways-

The qualification required under various categories of Indian Railways recruitment are-

Technical category-

Age limitation is between 18 years and 30 years.

Relaxation age for SC/ST candidates is 5 years and for OBC candidates 3 years.

Qualification: Any bachelor degree from any recognised University.

Non Technical category-

Age limitation is between 18 years and 33 years.

Relaxation age for SC/ST candidates is 5 years and for OBC candidates 3 years.

Qualification: 10+2 with Physics and Maths/ITI/ Pass in 1st year B.Sc. (Physics)

Indian Railways Recruitment Process-

Selection procedure of Indian railways consists of 2 processes which are-

  1. Written test
  2. Final Interview

Lets have the details of the above mentioned two process at the Indian Railways recruitment.

1.      Written test

Total questions: 100-120, 90 minutes

In this round there will be 100 to 120 objectives questions. Time limit is 90 minutes or one and half an hour. Negative is applicable for each wrong questions. the questions paper is divided into 4 sections. They are,

  • Quantitative skills
  • General awareness and as language general Hindi/general English
  •  General arithmetic
  • Analytic

 2.      Final Interview

Once a candidate clear the written exam, then the candidate will be selected for the interview and then will be called for the interview by the Indian Railways recruitment authorities.
