The Ohio State University is commonly referred as The Ohio State or OSU. It was established in the year 1870. It is a public research university which is situated at Columbus, Ohio. It was previously named as The Land – Grant University. In the list it is the ninth university in Ohio. This is the first university in Ohio to be extended membership into the Association of American Universities. It also remained the only public university in Ohio in the enlisted 60 members of the organization. It is ranked as the 16th best public university and 52nd overall ranked university in America. It is ranked 111th in the world ranking list.

Many students from all over the globe apply here for seeking to take the admission in this university but unfortunately many of them are unable afford the fees due to different problems like financial need, etc. So the university has started the provision of scholarship for the international students who are meritorious, talented and due to financial need or some other problem can’t afford to take admission. The government and many private organizations also provide scholarships to the needy students.

Given below is the detail of the scholarship which is available at / for this university for the international students for taking admission in the Masters’ degree. Although the list contains only the scholarship in which the students from India are eligible to apply.

The scholarship available for the Indian students is:

1.       Graduate Student Grant

This scholarship is to promote the mutual understanding among the foreign countries, their cultures and peoples of those countries through their academic studies.
Eligibility: Any international student who has completed his / her graduation from a recognized university is eligible.
Scholarship Amount: $ 2,000 to $ 4,500
Condition: The applicants have to share from their home unit an amount of $ 500
How to Apply: The application needs to be submitted electronically to oia-grants@osu.edu. The application must include the filled up application form which is available in the website, a description of the project to be undertaken which needs to be of 3 – 5 pages, a budget sheet for the research program and the curriculum vitae (CV) or the resume of the applicant along with two letters of recommendation from the Ohio State faculty members which includes the dissertation / thesis advisor and also their advising report.
