McGill University is a public research university which is located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was founded in the year 1821 during the period of British colonial era. The university bears the name of James McGill who was a prominent Montreal merchant from Glasgow, Scotland and also an alumnus of Glasgow University. With 21 faculties and professional schools, McGill offers degrees and diplomas in over 300 fields of study, including cultural studies, medicine and law. This university is ranked 1st in Canada among its entire major / research universities in the Maclean’s 23rd annual rankings, along with maintaining this position for the ninth consecutive year. Internationally, McGill is ranked 21st in the world and 2nd in Canada in the 2013 QS World University Rankings.

Eligibility: New international students who have accepted the Master’s program in a department within the Faculty of Science are eligible.
Scholarship Amount: $ 15,000 per year
How to Apply: A student is nominated by their department and the fellowship is awarded by the Faculty of Science.

2.       Arthur Willey Memorial Fellowship

Eligibility: New international students who have accepted the Master’s program in a department within the Faculty of Science are eligible.
Scholarship Amount: $ 2,500 per year
How to Apply: The candidate needs to submit the application form online within the deadline.

 3.       OFID Scholarship Award

Eligibility: Any international students who have either completed their graduation or are under the verge of completion of their undergraduate degree from a recognized university. The candidates must have at least 3.0 or higher GPA.
Scholarship Amount: Up to $ 50,000
How to Apply: The application needs to be done online. The candidates have to fill up the OFID Scholarship Award Eligibility Criteria before applying. The application form is available at the website http://www.ofid.org/

 4.       Commonwealth Distance Learning

Eligibility: Any international student who is a resident of developing commonwealth countries and is holding a first degree of upper second class standard or higher qualification.
Scholarship Amount: Amount that would fully cover the tuition fees
How to Apply: Before applying the candidate needs to apply for an approved program at the accredited host institution before deadline. The application form is available at the website http://www.ofid.org/
