    I think it is a basic trend that after completing 12th 95% of the student opt for engineering and why not this is the most demanding study course in the domestic and international market.
    According to me Tamil Nadu is among those states in India which consist of some of the best engineering colleges .. according to me the list is.
    iit Madras
    niit Tiruchirppalli
    Anna university
    niit Pondicherry
    SRM engg college ,SRM university
    Hindustan institute of technology
    IIIT in Design and manufacturing (Chennai)

    i don’t understand why Anna university is not considered in the above list but it is among the best engg. education centers in India..
