Approximately 4 lakh students appear for Maharashtra CET every year for admission into different courses, and in this article we’ll specifically discuss the Engineering course entrance – MHT CET. The full form is Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, conducted for entry into various engineering colleges across Maharashtra, held in two phases at different times during the year.

The entrance test consists of 2 papers – Paper I covering Mathematics (1.30 hours) and Paper II (1.30 hours) covering Physics and Chemistry, conducted in offline or pen & paper based mode. Eligibility requires candidates to have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects from a recognized board with minimum percentage requirements. The exam pattern includes multiple-choice questions testing conceptual understanding, problem-solving abilities, and application skills across all three subjects for engineering admissions.

The question is arise actually who is give this exam so the test is taken after the 12th grade for admission to graduation (also known as Bachelors) courses.The purpose of MHT CET is admission to many private and governmental medical and engineering institutions in Maharashtra .

According to some new guidelines and notification of MHT CET , now the mandatory of  Aadhar card detail when you feel your entrance examination form.

Maharashtra’s 85% of the seats in the state engineering colleges will be filled through MHT CET, while 15% seats in private.

The Question Paper of MHT CET has four sections-

  1.  Physics
  2. Chemistry
  3. Mathematics
  4. Biological Science.

  • The Duration of  Examination 1.5 hours

Who is Eligible for MHT CET Exam for Engineering, Medical and Pharmacy ?

Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible

Qualifying Exam-Passed 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi).The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination -ISCE, New Delhi.

Marks Required: –  50 % marks (for General Category) and at least 45 % marks (for reserved category and Persons with Disability candidates) belonging to Maharashtra State only).

Age Limit– There is no age limit for appearing in MHT CET.
