UPSC does not send admit cards by post. Every candidate must download and print the e-admit card before the exam. Without a printed admit card, entry into the examination hall will be denied.
UPSC Prelims 2026 Exam Timings and Schedule
The UPSC CSE Prelims 2026 will be held on May 24, 2026, in two sessions:
- General Studies Paper I: 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- CSAT Paper II: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Both papers are compulsory. CSAT is a qualifying paper requiring a minimum score of 33 per cent, that is, at least 66 marks out of 200.

- Paper I (General Studies): 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours. Negative marking of 0.66 marks per wrong answer.
