LAWS OF ELECTROMAGNETISM
The electromagnetic induction laws are also known as the laws of electromagnetism
FIRST LAW-
The laws of electromagnetism has two laws the first one of them states that when a conductor is placed in the varying magnetic field an emf is induced in it basically known as the self induced emf.similarly if the circuit with the conductor is connected current tends to flow through it and known as induced current.
OR
It can also be stated as if the conductor is rotated in the magnetic field,due to which an emf is induced known as the self induced emf.
SECOND LAW-
The second law of electromagnetism states that the induced emf is equal to the rate of change of the flux linkages i.e. flux linkage is the product of the no. of the turns of the coil and the flux associated with it)
FARADAY’S LAWS OF ELECTROMAGNETISM EXPLANATION
Let,
Initial flux linkages=Nφ1
Final flux linkages=N φ2
Change in the flux linkages=N(φ2- φ1)
Let us suppose that (φ2- φ1)= φ
Then change in the flux linkage will be=N φ
Rate of change of the flux linkage= N φ/t wb/sec
TAKING DERIVATIVE WE GET,
Rate of change of the flux linkage=-Nd φ/dt
But according to the Faraday’s law of electromagnetism,rate of change of the flux linkage is equal to the induced emf,so
e=-N d φ/dt volts
where the negative sign indicates the direction of the induced current in the conductor such that the magnetic field produced opposes the cause of it.

2.Explain how is it possible for the magnetic flux to be zero when the magnetic field is zero
The flux is related to the the magnetic field:
φ=BA COS θ
If θ is 0, then the magnetic flux will be 0 even if there is a magnetic field. In this case the magnetic field is parallel to the surface and does not pass through it.
