Common Admission Test is a national level competitive exam conducted by Indian Institute of Management(IIM’s) for admissions to its Business Administration Programme. It is an online test conducted by IIM’s every year. For appearing in CAT the candidate should have a graduate degree with minimum of 50% marks in graduation. The test consist of various sections from Verbal Ability, Reasoning, Quantative Aptitude etc. The test is of a high standard and requires lots of understanding, practice and concentration. In the marking scheme for every correct answer +3 marks are provided and for every wrong answer -1 marking is there. The candidate has to clear all the section of the test because the selection is based on marks scored in individual sections. Candidates scoring 95 percentile and plus will be getting calls from IIM’s based on the individual cut off of IIM’s. The candidates who qualify for admissions to IIM’s are being called by individual IIM’s for next round of selection. The next round may consist of Group Discussion, Personal Interview or a written exam but that totally depends on IIM’s to IIM’s. The top IIM’S of India are:

Selection in CAT is a dream of every student but after selection getting admissions in IIMs is the main thing .Now IIT’s are also using the CAT score for admissions to their MBA Programme .So candidates who are interested in joining IIT’s after selection in CAT can go through the cut off list of each IIT for selection to MBA programme. Mater in Bussiness administration or MBA is a PG Degree which is done by candidates after successful completion of their graduation degree .MBA programme are provided by various universities. Clearing CAT not only increases your job options but also strengthens your personality and gives you confidence in near future because studying for admissions to IIM’s needs a lot of hard work and struggle right from the day you start preparing for CAT.     The best and most important thing is that you must join a CAT coaching which prepares students to qualify written test or interview. There are a good number of coaching in India that deliver excellent assistance to their candidates in making them prepare to be selected in IIMs. They are the best platform for CAT preparation. Any students come from the CAT coaching are hardly failing to crack the CAT exam.
