Dear Friends,

As we know Institute of Banking Personnel Selection ( IBPS)  successfully conducted the IBPS PO Mains exam 2016 on 20th November, 2016. Many students who qualified for the IBPS Prelims Exam 2016 appeared in the exam today. This was the 2nd stage of their journey to become a probationary officer (PO).

Let us now observe the exam analysis of 20th November Mains exam. The Exam consisted of 5 sections – Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, English  Language, computer awareness, General Awareness. The total time allotted was 140 minutes. This time IBPS conducted the online examination with changed examination pattern. Let us see the Section wise time allotting of the exam-

Quantitative Aptitude 40 mins
Reasoning Ability 40 mins
General Awareness 10 mins
Computer Awareness 20 mins
Total 140 mins

There was provision of negative marking also.

First of all, focus on the analysis of Quantitative Aptitude.

Analysis of Quantitative Aptitude-

This time IBPS surprised students with the difficulty level of exam. Quantitative Aptitude carried 50 Questions.Furthermore, the time allotted was 40 minutes for this section. There were questions from almost every sphere of topic. Given below- is the topic wise questions asked in the exam-

Analysis of Reasoning Ability-

Reasoning ability asked in the exam was exceptional this time. some candidates were shocked by seeing the examination difficulty level of reasoning. the reasoning askled in the exam was of very difficult level. Analysis of English Language-

As usual, this section was not everybody’s cup of tea. Though the section was scoring as it was less time consuming. But the time restriction didn’t help much to students in taking up the pace. The section carried the 30 mins for 40 questions.

Analysis of General and computer Awareness-

These sections proved scoring in exam as compared to other sections. Candidates found no great difficulty in attempting the questing in given stipulated period of time. Though the scope of General awareness was vast enough but level of difficulty was easy.
