Dear Candidates !

As we all know that IBPS i.e Institute of Banking personnel Selection is conducting its recruitment analysis on 16th, 22nd, 23rd and 27th of october, 2016. The organisation is conducting its preliminary exams on these dates. We are providing an overall analysis of these exams as it will prove helpful for future exams. This post is dedicated to IBPS PO Preliminary 2016 Exam conducted on 23rd of october, 2016.

The Exam was conducted in  four slots. The exam was conducted all over India and the mode of examination was online. Lakhs of aspirants appeared on 23rd october, 2016. Candidates who referred to our previous post celebrated the Euphoric moment when they attempted the exam as per our prediction. Going through the exam pattern helps in adapting the real time exam experience. So let us see the exam pattern first-

IBPS PO Prelims 2016 Exam Pattern

The Exam consists  of  100 Questions. These questions have to be attempted in 1 hr time and carries 1 mark each.So. the exam is of 100 marks and also there is provision of negative marking. For every 1 wrong answer .33 marks will be deducted. Here is the new exam pattern of the IBPS PO Prelims 2016-

So based on this pattern let us come across the the analysis of exam conducted on 23rd October, 2016-

Analysis of English Section-

English is very evolving subject. The IBPS is continuously changing the level of english section. Though English is not everybody’s cup of tea but it is very scoring subject as well. The questions were asked from major topics  like reading comprehension , cloze test etc. According to the sincere candidates of a reputed coaching one shoul focus on comprehension skills to crack the english section. Furthermore the question wise analysis of exam is given below-

Analysis of Reasoning Section-

The reasoning section gave a boost to students . This section was most scoring section among all the sections. The level of difficulty was in between easy and moderate.there were 35 questions and the questions were asked from topics like syllogisms, sitting arrangement, blood realtions etc. The below is the topic wise question analysis-

Analysis of Quantitative Aptitude –

Quantitative aptitude is one of the most typical pillar of any bank exam. The level of difficulty of maths on 23rd october varied from easy to moderate.The Topics like  Data Interpretation  consisted 10 questions as usual. The questions were also from series , simplification, Quadratic Equations, Approximations, Time and Work etc . Let us go through the topic wise question break up of the exam-
