What is the job profile of IBPS Specialist Finance officer?

IBPS Specialist Finance Officer  examination deals with a MBA in Finance and accounts.  One who is well versed with the terms of Finance and accounts and how to deal with it. The specialist finance officer basically handles the financial matters with accounting details in banking sector. They are trained to work in a customized environment of bank .They are the ones responsible to handle consumer’s banking requirements and advice people in important financial decisions as well. They are required to look after all the financial transactions,statements and cash flow details.

Organisations for IBPS  exams

IBPS CWE(SO)- This is basically the examination held for recruiting so officers in nationalised banks . The written examination is the pre round for the selection procedure followed by an interview .

Eligibility for SO Finance Officer

The eligibility required for applying to this exams is Graduate & CFA /ICWA  or a Full time MBA or a Full time PGDBM in finance .

Min 20 years to maximum 35 years are eligible for application.

Salary of SO Finance Officer

After the 7th pay commission an increase in government employees  salaries  has been seen with 40%. The salary structure of SO officers scale II that includes SO Finance officer would be between rs 31,000 to rs 45,000.

There are certain other benefits been provided too that includes-

House allowance

Dearness allowance

Medical allowance

Travel and Transport allowance

Special allowances in some cases.

How to prepare for the exams?

Candidates applying for the exams should go through the exam pattern and understand the format and pattern for every section. The First exams or prelims consist of Reasoning, Englidh language and General Awareness. Once you clear the prelims you are eligible for appearing in the mains.

Focus on English Language.

Devote time to every section.

Focus should be on concepts and basics.

Knowledge about your profession is the keymantra.

Keep practicing questions .

You should always read on news articles ,journals,magazines and newspapers.

Improvise your understanding and knowledge about finance and accounts.
