PLACEMENT CRITERIA FOR AIR INDIA
Air India is one of the largest Airlines in India. The founder of Air India is J.R.D Tata, who founded this Airline in 1932 as Tata Airlines. It is a part of the government’s Air India Limited. The airline is operated to serve Asia, Europe, and the United States for Airbus and Boing Aircraft. The corporate house of Air India is located on Parliament Street in New Delhi and has two hubs at IGI and Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport. Earlier it had its hub at Frankfurt Airport which was shifted due to the high service cost.
Air India gained Fourth place in the Indian Aviation Industry. Air India has its two subsidiaries Air India Express and Air India Regional. The fleet size of Air India ranges to 127 including 133 destinations.
Placement Guidelines–
For appearing in the interview you need to have a dress code. The interview panel requires female candidates to wear sarees during Group Discussions and Interviews, while male candidates must wear formal attire. The panel will not entertain candidates who fail to adhere to this dress code for the interview process group discussion and interview would be on the same day and the candidates would have to make their boarding and lodging charges of their own.
Hiring Process–
There would be three rounds and the candidate has to clear one round before appearing for the other…these rounds would be:

Eligibility Criteria–
Educational Qualification:
Any candidate of B.E/B.tech with branches in Electronics and Telecommunications is eligible to sit for the interview process.
Age Limit:
Pilots: Generally, it ranges between 18-35 years of age.
Cabin Crew: It must be within the range of 18-27 years.
Ground Staff: Varies with position, but normally, the range is between 21-30 years.
Engineering Staff: Age range: 21-35 years
Selection Process:
The selection process of Air India involves several stages. This ensures that only the most suitable candidates are hired. The recruitment process usually includes
Written Examination:
For technical roles such as pilots and engineering a written test is conducted;

Group Discussion would consist of some common topics related to Aviation. They would just want to see your communication and knowledge about the Aviation sector.
Personal Interview:
Shortlisted Candidates were invited for the Personal interview with Air India officials.

Medical Examination:
All the shortlisted candidates must undergo a detailed medical check-up. Air India has strict medical fitness requirements, especially for pilots and cabin crew, such as:
- Good vision (distant vision up to a certain limit is acceptable)
- Proper BMI standards
- General physical and mental fitness
