NIFT Entrance Exam is splited into 2 phases:

NIFT Sample Paper

Phase 1: Written Exam consist of 2 papers of 100 marks each
GAT (General Ability Test): 150 Objective questions – 2 hours
CAT (Creative Ability Test): 3-4 Questions – 3 hours

• The GAT tests each student’s ability in Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Math,English Communication,English Comprehension & General Knowledge
• The CAT tests each student’s ability in Design Problem Solving, Visual Sense, Should be good in the Observation and Perception, Environmental Awareness, Good Mental Ability and Communication skills through a range of visual and textual questions.

Phase 2: It consists of 2 hour Situation Test in which students are given certain materials and asked to create a 3D model or handicraft.
