SBI PO Prelims 2018 Detailed Exam analysis – 1st July – All shifts
The most awaited SBI PO exam started from today. The exam was conducted in four shifts today. The next leg of the exam will be held on 7th and 8th July in four shifts each day.
The exam for all the shifts for Day2 is over. Lots of students appeared for the exam and they have shared their experience with us along with the questions asked. This analysis will give you a detailed in-depth knowledge about the questions that were asked, marks distribution, good attempts, and weightage given to each chapter of every section.

SBI PO prelims exam pattern
A new pattern was introduced in the exam. Sectional time was provided for each of the three section. Let’s have a look in the exam pattern.

The level of the exam overall was moderate. Please check the overall good attempts for Day 1 of the exam. Also kindly let us know how much you have attempted in the exam.

SECTION WISE ANALYSIS( with questions asked)
English Language (Moderate)
As expected, the level of the English paper was moderate to high. Most students could not attempt all the questions so every candidate must be selective of what question should he answer. There were 5-7 question on reading comprehension with around 1-2Qs on vocabulary. Reading Comprehension were based on
- an article Economy Based related to investment and savings of a consumer.
- Globalisation
- an article Economy Based related to Tax Rate of Different Countries.
- on an article related to women empowerment.

Numerical Ability (Moderate)
This section was comparatively easy than the other sections. However the level of paper was moderate. Students who had practiced well are sure to fare well in this section. Data Interpretation(Pie chart /Line graph/Tabular-Missing values/ caselet)was asked in the exam and the questions are based on arithmetic calculation and was also calculative. The miscellaneous word problems which involved topics like time and work, profit, and loss, SI and CI, Time speed and distance, partnership, average, etc were a little time-consuming.

Reasoning (Moderate – Lengthy)
This section was of moderate level and a little bit tricky. Puzzles were time-consuming but apart from puzzles, there were other questions in which students could score.
