Teaching Jobs

Eligibility for Teaching Jobs-

Teaching is not an easy profession at all. The eligibility for teaching jobs are-

For Pre-primary teaching, Diploma in Early childhood Care and Education (ECCE) or Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) or equivalent is required.

For Elementary teaching, Diploma of Elementary Teacher Education (ETE) or D.Ed or BTC etc. are required.
 
For Secondary Teaching, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) after B.A. or B.Com or B.Sc. etc. is required.

For Senior Secondary Teaching, Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) after M.A. or M.Com. or M.Sc. or equivalent is required.

For Higher Education Teaching, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) or State level eligibility Test (SLET) in any discipline for entry level of College or National Eligibility Test (NET) or University Teacher or Lecturer or Assistant Professor is required.

For Special Schools, there should be Diploma in Special Education.

Exams Conducted for Teaching Jobs in India-

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)- TET exams conducted by National Council For Teacher Education for the recruitment of Teachers. TET is also conducted at the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET).

National Eligibility Test (NET)- NET is a national level entrance exam conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) for the post graduates for award of Junior Research fellowship (JRF) and lectureship eligibility for various Indian colleges and universities. 

State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)– SLET is basically the exam conducted by the North- East States which is similar to the UGC-NET Examination.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)– CTET exam is conducted by the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the appointment of teachers approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).

Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT)- TGT Exam is conducted by the U.P. Government for the recruitment of Teachers in secondary institutions recognised by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education.
