BIOGRAPHY

29 year old, Rahul Jain cracked his UPSC CSE 2019 in his fourth attempt and got an AIR 2019. He says that becoming an IAS officer was always his dream but achieving a rank 9 was beyond his imaginations. He wants to work for the development for the nation and is really hard working and an honest person. He belongs to Deogarh and did his schooling from St. Francis School in Deogarh and got 85 percent in class 10th and he went to Delhi and studied in MT International School, Delhi. He scored 85 percent in class 12. He did his engineering in 2012 from Netaji Subhash University of Technology, Delhi University. His elder sister is also an engineering and she was the first engineering graduate in the family which also inspired Ravi to study engineering. Ravi’s father Ashok Jain is a businessman in food grains and his mother Mangala Devi is a housewife. He got a job in Bechtel India Limited after his graduation and he worked there for 3 years.

STARTING HIS PREPARATIONS FOR UPSC CSE

Rahul left his job at Bechtel India Limited in 2015 because he thought that he was not adding value to his life as his job was just salary based and he started preparing for his UPSC CSE examinations. He failed for consecutively three times so he gave the Bihar Pulic Services Examinations Civil Services Examination. It is really a deal of motivation when you fail because you should realise that nobody gets successful in their first attempt and you should keep trying harder and harder. You should keep motivating yourself and set your mind on your goal. You should trust your self and keep working with full consistency and determination. You should make proper strategy and time table and follow it strictly. You should not focus on the number of hours you have studied but you should set a target on a time basis and only focus on achieveing ite. Then you should not let yourself down if you fail and keep trying everytime. Success will definitely come to you. He cleared his exam this year and started working as State Tax Officer at Jamui District of Bihar. This year when he gave the exam and took leave from his office for his interview, he had not expected the results so he went back to his job at Jamui but as soon as he came to know about his results, he came back home imeediately.

In UPSC CSE 2019 Plutus IAS has Given Maximum Selection the IAS Exam. Out of 80 students, 43 have cracked the IAS Exam.

STRATEGY AND EXPERIENCE OF RAHUL JAIN

He says that as UPSC CSE is one of toughest exam in India to crack, it is a challenge in itself. The syllabus is too vast and almost infinite, and according to that, there is never enough time to learn and revise all of it. Due to which, stress and tension is an obvious factor during the preparations. Rahul Jain also says that while preparing and attempting the exam, you will get to know your mistakes and where you need to work more. He said that not only after failing, but also after being able to crack the exam, he did to understood what mistakes he made. He says that a lot of hard work and consistency is required to crack the exam. There is no coaching available in Deogarh but various source techniques and internet could provide him with information and syllabus. He also made a lot use of the library. Rahul also suggests that, to prepare for the UPSC CSE, you can also stay connected with people who have already cleared their exam as they could help, guide and motivate you. He said that, the will to do something for the society and the development of the country helped him reach his goal.

HAPPINESS OF HIS FAMILY AFTER HIS SUCCESS

He gave all the credit of his success to his friends and family. His family is proud of him and their son has made them very happy. He has not only made the jain community proud but the entire Deogarh district. His father Ashok Jain has no control over his happiness. He took blessings in Jain temple. His father himself has not studies much and he is very proud that till now Ravi was known by his name and now he will be known because of Ravi.
