  WBPSC EXAM PATTERN AND WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR WBPSC

In this article I will share with you  some very useful information about WB PSC . PSCWB or  Public Service Commission, West Bengal  is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of state of West Bengal in India.

The Formation of WB PSC is 1 April 1937. The head quarter of WB PSC is located in KOLKATA, India.WBPSC EXAM PATTERN AND WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR WBPSC

Work  and functions of WBPSC:-

WBPSC are appointed to the various posts of administrative departments of West Bengal like deputy collector, DSP or on other various posts in the revenue and other services.

Types of Job Profile in WBPSC:-

Group – A

• Executive:-  Salary Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/-
• Tax Service:  (PB-4A) Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/-
• Agricultural Income tax Service: (PB-4A) Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/-
• Stamp Revenue Service: (PB-4A) Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/-

• Police Service:  (PB-4A) Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/-

Group – C

• Joint Block Development Officer: (PB-4) Rs.9,000/- to 40,500/- + G.P. Rs. 4,700/
• Deputy Assistant Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Business Practices: (PB-4) Rs.9,000/- to 40,500/- + G.P. Rs. 4,700/-
• Chief Controller of Correctional Services: (PB-4) Rs.9,000/- to 40,500/- + G.P. Rs. 4,400/-

JKPSC EXAM PATTERN AND WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR JKPSC

Group – D

• Inspector of Co-operative Societies : (PB-3) Rs.7,100/- to 37,600/- + G.P. Rs. 3,900/-
• Panchayat Development Officer under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department: (PB-3) Rs.7,100/- to 37,600/- + G.P. Rs. 3,900/-
• Rehabilitation Officer under the Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Department : (PB-3) Rs.7,100/- to 37,600/- + G.P. Rs. 3,900/-

WB PSC EXAM Eligibility Criteria:-

1. The applicant must be the permanent resident of J&K State.
2. He must have attained the age of 21 years but has not crossed the age of 35 years on 1st January of the year in which notification inviting applications is issued by the commission.
3. It is also provided that the upper age limit shall be 37 years in the case of candidates belonging to ST, SC, and OSC (other social castes).
4.  Physically Challenged candidates shall be 37 years irrespective of the category to which they belong.

This exam consists of three stages –

a) Preliminary Exam

B) Main Exam

Descriptive Type

C) Interview
