The National Eligibility Test (NET) is a prestigious examination conducted at the national level in India. It is designed to shortlist candidates eligible for teaching positions in universities and colleges. Students who qualify NET become eligible for roles such as Assistant Professor, Professor, and other teaching positions in higher education institutions. Qualifying this exam not only opens doors to a career in academia but also enhances the candidate’s profile for research and other academic opportunities.
Now we come to the point how to prepare for net with the subject economics. First of all we should know that there are three papers which covers the whole net exam. First one is general paper which include teaching methodology, computer science, reasoning, environmental studies, english or hindi which ever the student chooses.this paper comprises of 50 questions which are compulsory to do. For this paper we have to study all the above subject.
Now, moving on to Paper II and Paper III of the NET exam, these papers focus on the subject chosen by the candidate. For students preparing for NET with Economics, both papers cover topics related to Indian and international economies. Paper II consists of 50 questions, while Paper III has 75 questions, all designed to test in-depth knowledge of economics. To excel in these papers, a student must have a thorough understanding of the subject, including concepts, theories, and current economic developments, both in India and globally.
