What is EXECUTIVE-MBA Program?
You might have came across a lot of articles flashing a debate on E-MBA vs MBA, or which is better. But do you know what exactly an E-MBA program is? An Executive MBA Program is an enhanced version of MBA curriculum which provides an opportunity for experienced professionals to do their masters’ in Business Administration on a schedule that minimizes disruption of work and personal pursuits. Such programs include a coherent class structure that offers a lockstep, planned curriculum in an executive setting. As a matter of fact, executive mba programs are quite different as that of an mBA. E-MBA students are supposed to complete their degree in two years or less. During this whole period, they earn a wide range of new skills and sharpen their analytical abilities by combining the coursework with day-to-day professional experience.
Whenever someone talks about E-MBA, the first thing that starts playing in our minds is NIGHT CLASSES. Its true. EMBA classes are held at night, or on Saturdays, all day long. This sometimes causes problems, because you dont get any choice and hence, have to compromise with other plans and sometimes, meetings.
The Curriculum
On an overlook, the curriculum is almost same as that of MBA. Courses offered in an EMBA programme are normally the same as those taught in traditional MBA programs – accounting, finance, statistics, management, marketing and information systems. However, EMBA courses are enhanced by the extensive professional experience of the participants and are uniquely structured to teach a maximum amount of course material in an accelerated timetable. In addition, senior faculty experienced in teaching and consulting are employed as principal instructors. Once all coursework is satisfactorily completed, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent is awarded. There is no fixed course duration here in EMBA.
