The Arts Faculty syllabus of Jamia Islamia University stays almost in-line with the syllabus of UPSC CSE. The University Library provides the students with thousands of best books for IAS preparation. Given the perfect atmosphere and facilities provided by the university, it has turned into a hub of IAS Exam Students. The University in its 133-year history has produced many great noble souls. Jamia Islamia Coaching Centre for UPSC Exam – Drawbacks

• Jamia Millia Islamia University only engages itself for preparation a few selected subjects for UPSC Exams such as General Sciences, Economics & some selected optional subjects.

• The fees for coaching for non-reserved categories are very high for the university being a central University. The fees for similar courses in other Central Universities are low as much as 50% compared to Jamia Millia Islamia University Coaching Centre for IAS/IPS Preparation.

• The study material provided by the University Coaching Centre is not up-to-date and not much detailed and so the students need to manage their study material from other sources.

• The admission to the coaching is a very difficult task as the seats get filled with students from economically strong backgrounds on account of the University Admission Quota.

Conclusion

• The overall reviews for Jamia Millia Islamia University Coaching Centre are good but are subject to some specialised field of subjects and not provide 100% preparation for other subjects.

• In addition to the courses provided by the University Coaching Centre, the student will need to join classes for other subjects in some other Coaching Centres

• For preparation of UPSC CSE Exam, one needs to take an admission in Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences.

• There are a few issues with the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences in Jamia Milia Islamia Coaching Centre. The syllabus they teach is not up to date.

• It is actually very lengthy and is not revised regularly as it is being used by the university over a period of many years.

• The subject combinations offered by FA-BHU & FSS-BHU are not exactly the same subjects needed for preparation of UPSC CSE and have some other unnecessary subjects included too.

• Hence, it is advisable to join the University coaching only for selected subjects and not be completely dependent on this Coaching Centre.
