How to Prepare for Preliminary Exam of RBI Assistant
Hello friends, As you know RBI Assistant notification has been out and last date(i.e. 28 Nov 2016) for applying this post has been gone.
First of all I want to give some information regarding this exam to all students (who are appearing for this exam or who are willing to appear for this exam next year).
1) Eligibility-
Nationality- A person must be a citizen of India,
OR a subject of Bhutan or Nepal,
OR a Tibetan refugee who came over India before 1/1/1962 with the intention to permanently stay in India,
OR a person of Indian origin who has been migrated from the Pakistan ,East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, SriLanka, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Zaire,Malawi, Zambia and the united republic of Tanzania with the intention of permanently stay in India.
b) Educational Qualification- A candidate must be graduate.
c) Age- Minimum age should be 20 and Maximum age must be 28
2) Exam Pattern-
This exam comprises two exams-
Preliminary Exam
Mains Exam
Preliminary Exam pattern–

Note:- The composite time is 1 hour for all sections.The candidates have to qualify in each three subjects by gaining cut off marks to be decided by RBI.
After that the candidates will be shortlisted by RBI for the Main Exam.
Marks obtained by the candidates in Main Examination only will be considered for short listing for interview and also for Merit List.
Interview Marks- 35 marks
Note-
Preliminary Exam training will be provided to SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates by RBI.
There will be a penalty for Wrong answer for each question. One fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.There will no penalty for the question that is left Blank means no option/answer is marked by the candidate.
How to Prepare for Preliminary Exam of RBI Assistant-
We have three subjects for Preliminary exam and all sections needs to be qualify to clear this exam. Now we will have to give time and importance to each subject equally.
To clear each section, everyone should focus on the important topics which are as follows-
Reasoning-In reasoning we should give more attention and focus on questions because each question of reasoning will test your mental and logical ability. Important topics are-
Puzzle- Puzzle includes questions related to sitting arrangement, classification test, family based puzzles and hybrid puzzles.

How to prepare reasoning for any Government exam

After Knowing important topics, prepare each topic with the help of previous years questions and shortcut tricks.
You can find short cut tricks for Reasoning and Mathematics by your faculty or by Online tutorials.
After preparing all topics, you should go for Mock Test. At least one Mock Test daily will help you in increasing your speed and your dealings with computer screen.
As we know this exam will conduct online, then we have to prepare for that.
