IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026 has opened with 11,403 Customer Service Associate (CSA) posts available for online applications. The registration window runs from August 1 to August 21, 2026, on the official IBPS website at ibps.in. Who can apply: Eligibility criteria

To qualify for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026, applicants must meet two primary conditions: educational qualification and age limit.

Educational qualification

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government is mandatory. Candidates must possess a valid Mark-sheet or Degree Certificate stating they are a graduate on the day of registration. During online registration, applicants must also indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation.

Age limit

The age of candidates must be between 20 and 28 years as on the reference date. Specifically, a candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive).

Vacancies and fee structure

IBPS has announced a total of 11,403 posts for the Customer Service Associate role under this recruitment drive.

Application fee

The application fee varies by category:

  • For all categories except SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM: ₹850
  • For SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM candidates: ₹175

Selection process: Prelims and Mains

The selection process for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026 consists of two written examinations: Preliminary and Main.

Preliminary exam pattern

The preliminary examination comprises 100 objective-type questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The exam duration is 60 minutes. The test includes three sections:

  • English Language
  • Numerical Ability
  • Reasoning Ability

Candidates must secure cut-off marks in each section to qualify for the Main examination. The cut-off marks will be decided by IBPS and may vary by category and state.

Negative marking in Objective Tests

There is a penalty for wrong answers in the Objective Tests. For each incorrect answer, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. No penalty is applied for unanswered questions.
