IBPS PO Prelims 2018 – 14th October – Exam analysis – All Shifts
The much anticipated of IBPS PO Prelims 2018 was held today in four different shifts. A lot of aspirants appeared for the exam thus bringing them a step closer to the goal.
We interacted with many students throughout the day and these students helped us in analyzing the exam. We thereby have compiled for you all the details of today’s exam in this analysis. This analysis is going to help all those who have appeared for the exam, see where they stand in terms of good attempts. This will also benefit those aspirants whose exam is yet to come. You can analyze the difficulty level and the questions that were asked along with the marks distribution through this analysis.
Sectional timing has been introduced and each section has a sectional time of 20 minutes. The sequence of the exam was English, Reasoning and Quant. Overall the paper today was of easy to moderate level.

English (Easy-Moderate)
The English paper was of easy to moderate level. Six questions of Reading comprehension based on an article related to Global Economy were asked. Out of these, two questions were based on vocabulary i.e synonyms and antonyms. Unlike the other shifts, there was no question on cloze test.

The level of this section was moderate. Surprisingly, there were no questions from inequalities and coding decoding. Four sets of puzzle and seating arrangement were asked.

The paper was of moderate level. Quadratic equation questions were not asked. However there were questions on approximation. 2 sets of DI were asked and the questions were a little calculative.

This section was of easy to moderate level. Reading comprehension was based on an article related to the Impact of technology and Artificial Intelligence on job markets. Out of the seven questions of RC, two questions were based on vocabulary(Antonyms and synonyms). With the introduction of sectional time, students have ample time to solve all the questions in this section. However, you need to be very sure while attempting these questions.
