City Union Bank is an Indian based bank. Previously it was called as “ The Kumbakonam Bank Limited” and later incorporated as a limited company on 31 October 1904. The bank initially preferred for a regional bank in the Thanjavur District Tamil Nadu.

City Union Bank is one of the oldest Private Sector Banks in India.Currently 10% of shares are hold by Larsen & Toubro

CUBThe bank has been made as computerisation in the year 1990 and all the Branches have been computerised at that year itself. The bank has entered into an agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited for introducing Core Banking Solution and all the branches have been brought under Core Banking Solution as on date.

Regulatory Authority of India (IRDA) had provide licence to act as Corporate Agent for selling insurance products and to provide value added services to the anyone at any level. The Bank has entered into Memoranda of understanding with

  • Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India and
  • National Insurance Company Limited

for selling their insurance products.
