The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has revised the schedule of the Assistant Prosecution Officer Main Examination. As per the updated calendar, the APO Mains will now be held on December 27, 2026. Candidates who cleared the screening stage should recalibrate their preparation for a December examination instead of the earlier expected window. Official notices are published on rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.

What Has Changed

RPSC periodically rearranges its examination calendar when recruitment stages of different posts overlap. The APO Mains has been moved to December 27, which also keeps it clear of the RAS cycle that dominates the second half of the year in Rajasthan. Candidates should rely only on the Commission’s website and its verified handles for further changes, and should ignore forwarded messages about admit cards until a formal notice appears.

Revised Timeline for APO Candidates

Stage Status
Screening or preliminary stage Completed
Main examination December 27, 2026
Admit card Expected in the week before the exam
Interview and final merit Expected in 2027

Five Month Preparation Plan

The postponement is a gift of time if used with discipline. A five month plan for the APO Mains can look like this.

  • August and September: Complete the law portion, especially the Code of Criminal Procedure, Indian Evidence Act and the new criminal laws, with section wise notes.
  • October: Revise Constitution, Rajasthan specific general knowledge and language papers.
  • November: Attempt previous RPSC law papers and at least four full length mock tests in the real time slot.
  • December: Only revision, bare act reading and answer structure practice. Freeze new sources completely.

For RAS and Other Rajasthan Aspirants

Aspirants preparing for the wider Rajasthan state services should read this update along with the RAS recruitment cycle. Our earlier coverage of the RAS notification, vacancies and study plan explains how the two cycles can be prepared together, since polity, Rajasthan GK and current affairs overlap heavily.
