1.       Fulbright Foreign Students Program in USA

This scholarship helps the graduate students and young professionals from other countries of the world to research and study in US for a year or more at US universities and institutes.
Eligibility: The international candidate who is holding bachelors’ or equivalent degree is eligible for this scholarship
Scholarship Amount: Full funding will be provided for the duration of study which includes tuition fees, airfare, living stipend, health insurance, etc.
How to Apply: The applications are processed by the bi – national Fulbright Commission / Foundation or US Embassies. So the candidates have to apply through the Fulbright Commission / Foundation or US Embassies of their home countries, but it should be done before the deadline.

2.       OFID Scholarship Awards for International Students

OFID stands for The OPEC Fund for International Development. This foundation helps by offering scholarship to those international students who have obtained or on the verge of obtaining their undergraduate degree and wished to study Masters.
Eligibility: Any international candidate belonging to any developing countries, lies in the age group of 23 – 32 years, have minimum 3.0 GPA or above, must have completed their undergraduate degree from any recognized universities are eligible for this scholarship.
Scholarship Amount: The candidate would be receiving $ 50,000 as tuition fees and a monthly allowance to cover books and living expenses,  accommodation, etc. The amount will be sent to the account of the candidate on quarterly basis.
How to Apply: The candidate can apply online through the website but before the deadline.

3.       Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme

The Aga Khan Foundation provides scholarship for the postgraduate studies of the outstanding students who belong to developing countries and have no other means of financing their studies.
Eligibility: Any international candidate with excellent academic records, genuine financial need,  is having a letter of admission in a reputed institute for their higher education, have thoughtful and coherent educational and career plans are eligible for the scholarship. Extra – curricular activities, achievements & work experiences shall add more preference in the selection.
Scholarship Amount: Amount that shall be covering tuition fees and living expenses only.
How to Apply: The application forms are available at the AKF offices or Aga Khan Education Services / Boards in their countries of current residence. The completed application have to be submitted from where it was obtained. But it should be done before the last and final date that is mentioned in the website.

4.       Joint Japan / World Bank Scholarships in Development for International Students

This scholarship is mainly helpful for the highly trained professionals working in the field of the economic and social development.
Eligibility: International candidates who belongs to a World Bank member country within the age of 40 years, is having the bachelors degree or its equivalent, etc is eligible for this scholarship.
Scholarship Amount: The amount that would cover the cost of completing the Masters’ degree for one year. For a new year it has to be renewed.

5.       Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program for Developing Countries

This scholarship program has a mission to expand educational opportunity and foster social justice in the developing countries. It provides fellowship for post – graduate study to emerging leaders who came from marginalized and excluded communities that typically lack access to higher education.
Eligibility: The candidates who would be able to demonstrate superior achievements in their undergraduate studies and is holding their bachelors’ degree are eligible for this scholarship. They should possess leadership potential. They also have to present a plan in which they are required to specify their plan how they would apply their studies to social problems or issues in their own countries.
Scholarship Amount: The amount that shall cover the support up to three years of study for masters’ with comprehensive package of benefit including preparatory training and placement assistance, etc.

6.       e8 Scholarship for Developing Countries in Sustainable Energy Development

This scholarship is meant to support the outstanding students who are pursuing advanced studies. This scholarship is specially designed for Masters and Post Doctoral students and not PhD students.
Eligibility: The candidates should have attained excellent grades and must be in the top 20% of their class, they must be determined to advance in their knowledge and understandings, must have a history of social involvements and must be committed to return and serve their own county after completion of their studies.
Scholarship Amount: $ 23,000 per year till the completion of the course

7.       UNESCO – Japan Research Fellowships for Developing Countries

This scholarship was introduced to keep alive and honour the spirit of the former Prime Minister Obuchi. He actually believed in “people building the next era”. This scholarship is provided especially to support the innovative and imaginative post – graduate research in the areas of development.
Eligibility: Any international candidates who have completed their bachelors’ or equivalent degree and must be a person of high intellectual promises are eligible. The candidates must be within the age limit of 40 years.
Scholarship Amount: Between $ 6,000 and $ 10,000 in two or three installments
