IBPS Specialist Officers take care of all activities in a bank in a particular zone.
Lawyers as Specialist Officers in bank are expected that they will work on different bank policies and legal issue and alter changes if any..
They will also create instructions and conditions for the bank norms. They are also responsible to appear for respective banks in court thus handling their legal matters, sending notice to defaulting customers regarding legal issues.
The SO Law Officer has some certain job functions for a bank that include –
Ensuring agreement with RBI .
Constitute the legal documents .
Look after the legal matters of the bank.
Bank’s legal representative for all legal issues.

The recruitment takes place through through IBPS Specialist Officer Examination whereas some banks like SBI, NABARD & SIDBI conducts separate examinations.
Who can apply or are eligible
For SO Law Officer candidates should have an LLB degree and membership in Bar Council of India as an advocate whereas some banks also require certain work experience.
Salary that can be drawn
The total IN-HAND salary per month shall be around Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 33,000 p.m depending upon the benefit.
