The above quotes signifies the importance of university education. So we have made an effort to provide the list of the top universities in India. The list of top universities in India provided, on the basis of survey done by “The ZEE News”, DNA and IPSOS after analyzing different  parameters like cutoff, faculties, placements and national rank. While the University of Delhi remains the undisputed leader, whereas SRM University – Chennai emerges as the best private university.

A survey is conducted by ‘India Today’ on India’s best universities in the year 2012. According to this survey Delhi University secure the top most rank, 2nd position is occupied by Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and followed by University of Calcutta. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) also come next in list of India’s top five universities.
