Umar Ahmad Ganie’s Inspiring NEET Journey

Umar has survived through thick and thin and is just 19 years of age. Here is his story that will lead you towards past glories at this year’s NEET UG, where he scored an enviable 601 out of 720. Not only has such spirit and determination hailed him success in his endeavor; it also creates a beacon for many others to follow their dreams regardless of the widespread pitfalls.
Fighting Financial Suffering
His family is deep-rooted in financial instability, and his father is a daily wage laborer, while his mother is a housewife. Umar’s determined end never faltered with respect to his education: he deprived himself of resources for coaching and depended entirely on self-study, developing a strict routine to prepare him for NEET.
Self-Study: Strict Routine
This was Umar’s daily timetable: from 4 PM to 12 AM again from 3 AM to 8 AM. His devotion and discipline are great lessons in obtaining success. Umar does balancing and supports his family with part-time work to investors. His perseverance speaks volumes about what he harbors in his heart for becoming a doctor.
Dream to Become a Doctor
Umar’s dream was sparked when he reached class 10. He discovered that there was this student from his district who had cleared NEET and became a doctor. Inspired by the story, Umar followed that route too, motivatinghim to choose the science stream in 11th grade, where he would concentrate on his medical affairs.
The COVID-19 Challenge
Umar, like many students in the world today, experienced some of the major challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet instead of being derailed, motivation came from viewing the work of health professionals around the globe. It enforced upon him all the more that he wanted to study medicine and be a doctor for helping other people when they needed.
Success is directly proportional to hard work and concentration.
The journey of Umar depicts what really hard work and concentration can do for a man. “I believe if you keep on working, things can change, and there is nothing impossible if a person has true determination,” he said. The message he has to pass to others is simple, “Keep focused on your goals, work hard, and success will come.”
Future Aspirations
He aspires to make a place for himself and serve humanity through medical education in one of the premier government medical colleges of Jammu and Kashmir after successfully passing NEET 2023; he also desires to practice medicine in Kashmir.
