Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test Dental or UPCAT Dental is a national level entrance test conducted Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh, for the admission in undergraduate level dental programme. It is conducted for the enrolling candidates to take admission in dental course, Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS), which is of 5 years of duration. After completing BDS, a candidate can also pursue for Masters of Dental Surgery(MDS).
Eligibility for the UPCAT Exam
Following are the eligibility criteria of BDS exam-
1. The candidate should have at least 17 years of age, on or before 31 December of the year of admission to the BDS course.
2. He/She should be 10+2 secondary examination passed and in the last two years, should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Additionally, the candidate should have scored minimum 50 % in each of the mentioned subjects taken together. In the case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum percentage is reduced to 40%.
Exam Pattern-
Duration of UPCAT exam is of 3 hours and consists of 200 objective questions i.e. 50 questions in each of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany

Cost of application form is Rs 800 and is available in main branches of Oriental Bank of Commerce in Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata, Moradabad, Varanasi, Kanpur, Chandigarh and Agra.
