Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Board- HPSSSB
What is HPSSSB?
The Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission is also known as HPSSSB or Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Board.
Majorly the commission is responsible for recruiting candidates and suggesting job opportunities across the state for various posts. The commission carries out recruitment via 3 stages of written practical and interview tests.
Eligibility Required to Apply
The candidates must have completed 10h,12th ,graduation and also post graduation from a recognised university.
The applicants must be between 18yrs to 45 years of age to be able to apply for HPSSSB vacancy whereas for Sub Inspectors its should be 21 to 16 years .
For those willing to sit for HPSSSB exam need also pay an application fee via online payment.

Selection Procedure
The board does the final selection on the basis of written screening test, skill test and physical test.
Exam Syllabus For HPSSSB Exams
Now let’s overview on exam pattern as well as the exam syllabus :
The posts for which the exams to be given are:Radiographer, Jr. technician, Fitter ,etc.
The written exam is of 85 marks and its total is 120marks for 2hrs duration.
Majorly there are 4 subjects- Hindi, English, Current Affairs, General Knowledge about Himachal Pradesh.
HINDI– topics to be covered are synonyms, phrases and idioms,vocabulary, grammar, sentences, use of words, synonyms.
ENGLISH– This would cover articles,verb agreement, unseen passages,comprehension,tense,antonyms,vocabulary, idioms & phrases,error correction, grammar,synonyms,adverbs,etc.
CURRENT AFFAIRS– Know the current topics on daily basis both locally and around the globe.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HIMACHAL PRADESH– famous days and dates, general awareness of environment, national /international organizations, geography of Himachal Pradesh, art and culture, Himachal Pradesh’s Constitution, sports,politics,
