Nanjing University is one of the oldest and the most prestigious university in China. It is said to be a comprehensive research university. Previously it was named National Central University which was later on changed to Nanjing University. It is ranked 168^th in the world ranking. By the Times Higher Education it is ranked among the Top Asian Universities.
So many students from all over the globe seek to take admission in this university but unfortunately many are unable to do so due to different problems like financial need, etc. So the university has started the provision of scholarship for the international students who are meritorious, talented and due to financial need or some other problem can’t afford to take admission.
Given below are some of the scholarships available at the university for the international students for admission in Masters’ degree. Though the list contains mainly those scholarships in which Indian students are eligible

The international scholarship available here for the Indian students are:

1.       China Government Scholarship

This is a scholarship that is set up by the Chinese government to facilitate the students and the scholars from all over the world to conduct their study and research at the Chinese universities, and also to increase the mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and peoples from the rest of the world.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a non – Chinese citizen and must be healthy both physically and mentally. They must have acquired their bachelor degree, and should not be older than 35.
Scholarship Amount: RMB 1,700 as monthly stipend along with tuition waiver, health insurance, free accommodation and one – off settlement subsidy of RMB 1,500 for more than one academic year and RMB 1,000 for one semester.
How to Apply: The candidate needs to apply online through laihua.csc.edu.cn. After filling up the form the candidate needs to take a print of it. This application form with a recent photograph along with the original copy of the academic transcripts, certificate of highest qualification degree, two recommendation letter from the advisor or professor of the last school or college, detailed proposal for study and research study in China etc. needs to be submitted which shall not be returned.

2.       The Distinguished International Students Scholarship

Master’s or Doctoral Scholarship is meant for the international applicants who are enrolled by designated Chinese HEIs for higher academic, China 2012.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a non – Chinese citizen and must be excellent in academic performances. They must have acquired their bachelor degree, and should not be older than 35.
Scholarship Amount: Amount that would cover full academic expenses

3.       Chinese Government Scholarship for Graduate Studies

Ministry of Education of P.R. China is offering Chinese Government scholarships to support Chinese universities in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. Applicant must be citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and be in good health and be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs. Application should be submitted between January and early April.
Eligibility: Any international candidate who is a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and must be in a good health. The candidate should not be a registered student in Chinese universities at the time of application or be a graduate from Chinese universities for more than one year. The candidate must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs.
Scholarship Amount: Amount that would cover full academic expenses
How to Apply: The international applicants can directly apply to the designated Chinese universities undertaking this program. The recommended candidates must finish the online application procedure at CSC Online Application System for International Students and must submit the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship online and print a hard copy of it. A package of complete application documents must be submitted to the designated Chinese university before the deadline.
