Common Entrance Test Karnataka is acronym as CETK or KCET. Common Entrance Test is conducted by  Karnataka Examination Authority  (KEA) every year . KCET  mainly consists of four subjects Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates willing to take admission for Medical courses must appear for Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Also for seeking admission into Architectural courses and Engineering Courses candidates should appear for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. This exam is conducted to aspire students to take admission to professional degree courses in Karnataka.

Karnataka as a state has set its own standards  in almost every field like higher education ,IT sectors etc. A huge number of medical and engineering institutes are in Karnataka with high recruitment rate when compared to that of other states in India . If anyone has the will to pursue higher studies for courses like , Medical, Engineering,Pharmacy in southern states of  India then this can prove to  be one of the best choice for the students  .

Exam Pattern:

The question paper of Karnataka CET mainly comprises of  Paper 1 and  Paper 2.  Paper 2  is of 80 minutes and has 60 multiple choice questions and the question in this section is generally from Biology or mathematics which is based on the choice made by the candidate. The time duration for appearing this exam is 150 minutes . The question paper carries 120 question each of 1 mark so the total marks for this exam is 120 .

CET Karnataka  exam generally takes place in the month of  April or May of the year .

Syllabus :

The Karnataka CET syllabus is purely based on the syllabus of Chemistry, Biology and Physics of 10+2 level. There is no separate syllabus prescribed by Karnataka CET. Here is a chart that can help you get a clear idea:
