COMEDK or Consortium Of Medical, Engineering and Dental, Karnataka Entrance Exam is a exam to take admission into all private colleges of Karnataka. Through this exam the eligibility of candidates are tested, whether they are eligible for Engineering or Medical courses . COMEDK exam was established by the private Dental or Medical colleges. COMEDK conducts a separate entrance examination for Undergraduate students called as COMEDK UGET. This exam is conducted for candidates who are interested to take admission into the private colleges of Karnataka.
I. For B.E
Applying candidates need to be passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45% marks in the subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (along with Biotechnology or Computer Science) with English as a compulsory subject.
Candidates need to be passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in the subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject.
The candidate must have cleared their 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks with the subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).
COMEDK Exam Pattern and Format:
COMEDK is a multiple choice objective question type exam where each question will be followed by 4 choices and you have to select the correct choice.
Total number of Questions: 180
Time Duration: 3 hours
Correct attempt: 1 marks for each correct answer.
Incorrect attempt: There is no negative marking for incorrect attempt.

It consists of the Heat and thermodynamics, electrostatics, oscillations, thermal and chemical effects of currents, electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, physical world & measurement, introduction, description of motion in one dimension, description of motion in two and three dimensions, etc.

II. Syllabus for Chemistry :
It consists of Chemistry of representative elements, the nuclear chemistry, electrochemistry in chemistry, the chemical kinetics, the chemistry in action, chemistry of all biological processes, biomolecules used, polymers and chemistry of carbon compounds, the coordination chemistry and organo metallic used, transition of metals including lanthanides etc..

III. Syllabus for Mathematics :
The mathematics syllabus consists of Vectors and three dimensional geometry used , matrices and determinant problems, circles and coordinate geometry of math, the exponential and logarithmic series and the Probability part , correlation and regression of differential equations and the definite integral, integral calculus and the differential calculus etc.

IV. Syllabus for Biology :
The biology syllabus consists of Diversity in Living World, the Structural Organization in Plants and Animals and Biology of Human Welfare, the Ecology and the Environment, Reproduction processes in Organism and their Genetics & Evolution etc.
