Madras Cements Limited is the main branch of the Ramco Group Company which is the major business group in South China. The company is headquartered at Chennai. The company is a public limited company incorporated in the year July 3, 1957. The company produces around 10.49 million tons of cement per annum. It is the fifth largest cement producer in the country. Pusapati Chinnaiah Raja is the founder of the company.
Madras Cement is the manufacturers of popular “RAMCO Supergrade”. The products of the company are Ready Mix Concrete and Dry Mortar Products. The products are made in such a way that it is easy to transport, compact and good finish concrete. The three states of concrete plastic, setting and hardening are made in the company.
RRDC, the Ramco Research Development Centre is the research centre at Chennai for the production of high performance concretes. RRDC is equipped with many microstructure equipments for the development of new products.
The cement plants are established in various areas of:
