It is officially named after the eldest son of Guru Gobind Singh, Sahibzada Ajit Singh (SAS Nagar, or “House of Sahibzada Ajit Singh”). It, along with Chandigarh and Panchkula, form a part of the Chandigarh Tricity. It was earlier a part of the Rupnagar District, and was carved out into a separate district in the recent years.

Qualification & Experience :
10+2 /Equivalent from any recognized Board (Preference will be given to Graduate) One year
course in computer/ IT from a recognized Institute. Candidate must have passed Punjabi up to Matric level. Knowledge of data entry in Punjabi and English is must. Minimum typing speed 40wpm
in English and 30wpm in Punjabi ( Gurmukhi/ Asses/ joy fonts only).
Experience: 6 Months working experience is being required
Remuneration:
A Remuneration of Rs. 7700/- is being provided.
Conditions:
All the posts are purely on job work basis only. Selected candidates may be posted at any Suwidha Centre of the district. Posts may be increased or decreased as per requirement, at any time.
Test / Interview Details:
Applications have to reach at office of District Suwidha Administrator, Suwidha Centre, Room No.14, D.C. Office Phase-1, SAS Nagar .Type test will be conducted at Suwidha Centre Room No.14, SAS Nagar and after that successful candidates will be called for interview in the Office of Additional Deputy Commissioner(G), SAS Nagar-cum-Member Secretary, Sukhmani Society for Citizen Services, (District e-Governance Society), SAS Nagar.
