International Scholarship for Indian Graduate Students at Iowa State University
The Iowa State University is a public research university located in Iowa City, Iowa. This university was founded in the year 1847 and is the oldest university of the state. It is considered as a Public Ivy. The university is ranked 72 nationally and 28 among the public universities in United States. Globally it is ranked 169. Also the university has athletic teams which have won 26 national championships and field 22 varsity teams.

1. Hubert Humphrey Fellowship for International Students
The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a non – degree granting program. This program provides a year of professional enrichment in United States from designated countries throughout the world. The fellows are selected based on their potential for leadership and their commitment to public service in either the public or private sector.
Eligibility: Any international candidate who is having an undergraduate degree, minimum of five years of professional experience, limited or no professional experience in United States, can demonstrate leadership qualities, must have a record of public service in the community and strong English skills.
Scholarship Amount: Amount that would be covering all the academic expenses for the session.
How to Apply: The international students need to apply through the U. S. Embassy in their home countries before the deadline. Their applications would be processed by bi – national U. S. Embassy and then submitted to the Institute of International Education office in Washington D. C.

2. Fullbright Foreign Student Program
The Fullbright Foreign Student Program enables the graduate students, young professionals and artists from abroad to research and study in United States for one year or longer at the university.
Eligibility: Any international candidate who has completed his / her undergraduate education and is holding a degree equivalent to the bachelor’s degree.
Scholarship Amount: Amount that would be covering all the academic expenses for the session.
How to Apply: The international students need to apply through the Fullbright Commission / Foundation or U. S. Embassy in their home countries before the deadline. Their applications would be processed by bi – national Fullbright Commission / Foundation or U. S. Embassy.

3. International Merit Scholarship
This International Merit Scholarship is awarded to the well – rounded students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement, and outstanding talent or achievements in one or more of the following areas: math and sciences, the arts, extracurricular activities, community service, leadership, innovation, or entrepreneurship.
Eligibility: Incoming freshmen applicants and transfer applicants with fewer than 65 transferrable semester credits. The candidates must have 3.0 GPA or more.
Scholarship Amount: $ 4,000 to $ 8,000
How to Apply: The candidate needs to submit an application for admission in the university before applying for this scholarship. All the materials need to be sent to “admission@iastate.edu”.
