This university provides some scholarship to the students from other countries to encourage them to study here and brighten their future. Given below is the list of some scholarship programmes for the international students, especially from India.Scholarship in University of Toronto

1.       Delta Kappa Gamma World Fellowship

This programme provides opportunities for women from foreign countries to pursue graduate studies in Canada and United States.

Scholarship Amount:- $4,000
Eligibility:– International women graduate candidates and must not be completing their degree in 2014.

2.       Varnier Canada Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship (Vanier CGS) program is designed to attract and retain world-class doctoral students by offering them a significant financial award to assist them during their studies at Canadian universities.

Scholarship Amount:- $5,000 per year for three years
Eligibility:– International graduate candidates must not be completing their degree in 2014.

3.       CONACYT

This scholarship is offered through collaboration between the Ontario Council of Graduate Studies (OCGS) and CONACYT. The scholarship covers tuition fees and also provides a living allowance.

4.       Connaught International Scholarships for Doctoral Students

The primary purpose of this programme is to assist graduate units in recruiting and supporting outstanding international scholars to the University of Toronto’s graduate programs.

Scholarship Amount:- $35,000 in total per student
Eligibility:– 10 – 15 International graduate candidates who must not be completing their degree in 2014.

5.       Ontario Trillium Scholarship (OTS)

​This program is a significant initiative to attract more of the best qualified international students to Ontario for PhD studies. This program supports the 2010 Open Ontario commitment to increase the number of international students in Ontario while maintaining spaces for qualified domestic students.

Scholarship Amount:- $40,000
Eligibility:– The candidates must be an international student who is intending to pursue degree from here. The candidate must also not be receiving any other scholarship.

6.       Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS)

This program recognizes academic excellence in graduate studies at the master’s and doctoral levels in all disciplines of academic study.

Scholarship Amount:- $5,000 per term
Eligibility:- International candidates are eligible but they would be getting access to a certain set of scholarship awards only. The candidate must possess at least 60% marks as aggregate in the last degree which is 40% for the permanent disability. Also the candidate must not have applied for it before.

7.       Mitacs Globalink Graduate Fellowship

The Globalink Graduate Fellowship provides financial support to former Globalink Research Interns to return to Canada for graduate studies at select Mitacs university partners.

Scholarship Amount:- $10,000 for one year of research based Master’s program, $10,000 per year for two as well as three years of research based PhD program.
Eligibility:– Candidates must be international students. But the ex interns are also allowed here.
