COMEDK stands for Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. They conduct a common entrance test which facilitates the determination of merit for UG and PG courses offered by the medical, engineering and dental courses. There are 12 medical colleges under COMEDK. Centralized counseling is done for admissions through it. The tution fees of the colleges under COMEDK is Rs. 3,57,500/-.

There are also other medical entrance exams through which one can go for other medical colleges for pursuing their MBBS course. Those exams are:

1.     Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences:-

Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Jayanagar, Bangalore, this institute was founded in 1980. This college is one of the top medical colleges in Karnataka.

2.     J J M Medical College:-

Founded in 1965, this college is one of the part of Bapuji Medical Association. This is also a premier institute of association which imparts Allopathic Medical Education.

3.     Adichunchangiri Institute of Medical Science:-
