The UPPSC PCS application window is in its final stretch. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the Combined State and Upper Subordinate Services notification on 25 June 2026 for around 500 vacancies, and the last date to apply online with fee payment is 27 July 2026. That leaves just over two weeks. This update explains the OTR 72 hour rule, the fee and correction timeline, the posts on offer and what qualified applicants should do immediately after submitting the form, since the prelims is scheduled for 6 December 2026.

The OTR Rule: Register 72 Hours Before Applying
UPPSC now mandates One Time Registration before any application. Candidates must generate an OTR number on the official OTR portal at least 72 hours before filling the PCS form. In practical terms, if you have not created your OTR yet, complete it by 23 July at the latest so that the system syncs your profile in time for the 27 July deadline. Details such as name, date of birth, category and photograph flow from OTR into the application, so correct any OTR level errors first.
Posts and Vacancies on Offer
Roughly 500 Group A and Group B posts are notified in this cycle, including Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer and Naib Tehsildar. The final vacancy count is typically revised upward before the result, but the service preference you fill now matters, so order preferences by your genuine interest and the physical standards where applicable.
Application Checklist Before You Press Submit
- OTR number active and profile verified.
- Scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format.
- Category, domicile and EWS certificates valid on the cutoff date mentioned in the notification.
- Educational qualification details exactly as per your degree records.
- Fee paid and the final printout of the submitted application saved as PDF.
If anything goes wrong after submission, use the official correction window that remains open till 3 August 2026. After that, no modification is entertained.
