UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2016 Results declared on 16th September, 2016
Union Public Service Commission conducted the Preliminary exam of Civil Services on 7th August, 2016. UPSC announced the results for prelims on 16 September, 2016. Candidates can check there result here-

UPSC has also announced the result of Indian Forest Services examination-2016. The Preliminary Examination of both Civil Services and Forest Services is Same and was conducted on 7th August, 2016. Shortlisted candidates can check their result here-
UPSC IFOS Preliminary Exam 2016 Results
Two lists are released by UPSC on 16th September, 2016. One of these includes Roll no. of candidates who have qualifies for UPSC Civil Services mains Exam and other with roll no. of candidates who have qualified for UPSC Indian Forest Service Mains Exam. More than 600000 candidates appeared in the CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) this year. Around 11 lakhs Students applied for the examination out of which only 55% could appear in the exam.
The Shortlisted Candidates have to appear in mains examination now. As per the official notification the candidates have to fill application for mains examination separately. The Detailed application form (DAF) for civil services mains examination has to be filled between 7th October to 20th October, 2016. The Tentative date for Mains Examination is 3rd of December, 2016, Sincere Candidates have already geared up their mains preparations in touch with reputed coaching and guidance. They refered to best study material to clear prelims exam.
Candidates have to fill their application forms online. The Admit cards of the mains Examination will be issued two weeks before the commencement of examination. Students are advised to be in touch with this post and upsc.gov.in.
Furthermore, the cut off and answer keys of shortlisting through the preliminary examination will be notified later.

7th August, 2016 – Preliminary Examination
16th September, 2016 – Result of Preliminary Examination
7th October – Starting date of filling DAF
20th October – Closing date of filling DAF
3rd December – Commencement of mains examination.
