What would be more appreciable than cracking IA UPSC exam after five consistent attempts and without any coaching assistance?  This is a great victory for UPSC topper Anudeep Durishetty, from Hyderabad.  He is a bachelor of Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Instrumentation) and he has been graduated from a prestigious college. He has been working assistant Commissioner (P) at Indian Revenue Service, Government of India for more than 2 years. He preferred NCERT books for the preparation of this exam.

The journey of this student has been interesting so far. He has secured the first rank and this is quite difficult for a student to get selected in this exam. More than 9 lakh students appeared in the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2017 but this guy nailed it.

He has completed his engineering in 2011 from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. His mother is homemaker and father is the assistant engineer. He has Anthropology as optional subject and he did take any coaching assistance. His own UPSC exam preparation strategies worked for him. He has also secured 790 ranks in UPSC civil service exam in 2013, but he couldn’t do well in the main exam and interview part.

He started working as an IRC officer in 2014 and took the break from the service in 2016 for the preparation of IAS 2017-18 exams. He did not join any coaching and worked hard for achieving his aim to be IAS officer.

 

He is already working at IRS as assistant commissioner and his career journey has been interesting so far. As he is an engineer and he has also worked with Google.  He comes in OBC category and loves sports like Football and tennis. Well, the journey was not so easy as this is very difficult to pass this exam.

Total 990 candidates have been selected for the appointment to government services.

He is grateful to those who supported him throughout his struggle. He has got this success with his hard work and he believes in the fact that there is no alternative to hard work. He has become a motivator for so many students.

He loves to study history and appreciates president of USA, Abraham Lincoln, as he inspires him a lot.

Becoming an IAS UPSC topper from an IRS officer was not easy for him. This is all about his journey so far. he has devoted his five years for the exam and got success in it. Hearty congratulation to him and hats off to his efforts!
