But it is not needed to refer all the NCERT books for the preparation of IAS exams as some of the textbooks are not required. Indian polity NCERT textbooks: it is not highly required to read any NCERT textbook for the study of Indian polity because our constitution by Subhash Kashyap is actually a very good source of Indian polity.
