What is IIT JEE ?

Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) serves as India’s premier annual engineering entrance exam. One of seven zonal IITs—IIT Roorkee, Kharagpur, Delhi, Kanpur, Bombay, Madras, or Guwahati—conducts it under the Joint Admission Board (JAB) guidance.

This rigorous test determines admission to top IIT undergraduate programs nationwide.

IITJEE is the  used as the sole admission test by the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and IISERs , IISc.

What is IIT JEE Exam Pattern ?

JEE Main Exam (Pattern Paper – 1 )- 

Exam Mode: The examination will be held through online or offline mode.

Subjects: JEE Main Paper 1 will contain questions from chemistry, physics and mathematics subjects.

Exam Duration: The exam duration will be 3 hours. 4 hours for candidates having 40% disability.

Question Paper Medium: For all exam cities centres, the question paper medium is English and Hindi. Candidates have to exercise the option of question paper language at the time of filling the application form

Marking Scheme: Each correct question will carry 4 marks. 1/4 negative marking for every incorrect answer

Who is Eligible for IITJEE Exam ?

Age limit: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.

Qualifying Exam-Passed 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi).The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination -ISCE, New Delhi

No of attempts – Each candidate can appear for IIT JEE main only 3 times .
