ASSAM TEACHER’S ELIGIBILITY TEST (TET)

WHAT IS ASSAM TET?

Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted in India to recruit teachers for government schools. Assam Teacher’s Eligibility Test (Assam TET) is held every year to appoint qualified teachers in various central and state government schools across Assam.

The government of Assam in collaboration with Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhijan conducts the exams where suitable candidates are selected based on their knowledge and qualifications.

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ASSAM TET

The candidate is an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.

He /She must possess be a graduate from a recognised university with B.T/B.Ed  degree.

One must also have relevant qualifications for the subject applied.

EXAM SYLLABUS FOR ASSAM TET

The Assam TET exam consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II, each carrying 200 marks. Both papers feature objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The main topics covered include pedagogy, general English, basic numericals, business, accounts, sales, advertising, physics, chemistry, banking, biology, and current affairs. Aspirants should focus on these subjects to maximize their score and improve their chances of selection

1. History and Culture of India with special focus on Assam history.
2. The Political System of India with The Constitution .
3. General Science & Technology
4. Indian geography with focus on Assam’s geography.
5. Indian Economics with spot on Assam’s economics.
6. Reasoning,Mental Ability and Quantitative analysis
7. Environment of India with  spot on Assam’s  environment.
8. Indian secondary education & management .’
